The women of Valley Falls were strong supporters of womenís suffrage, and in the early 1900ís invited Susan B. Anthony, then living in the region, to speak to their Political Equality Society. Ms. Anthony bestowed on the small community not only inspiration, but four volumes of books co-authored with other notables of the movement like Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
